It’s been two weeks since little Tyler was born, and things are going well. His parents are doing fine, even with all the side-effects of massive sleep deprivation . He especially enjoys spending time with Mommy, who works very hard to keep him clean and fed. Here are some highlights from his first two weeks. He grows and changes really fast!

We have a new addition to our family that we are very excited about! Here are some photos and video clips from the hospital, when he was less than 24 hours old!

Testing is here once again, and this time I tried for my High Brown Belt. The morning of testing I woke up with severe back and neck spasms, which made testing really difficult and painful, but luckily I still made the cut. I’m the one with the white headband.

What we once thought was the impossible has finally happened! In-N-Out Burger has arrived at the Wasatch Front! It’s our favorite burger joint, so when we saw on the news that they had finally opened, we immediately jumped in the car. Continue reading »

This year for halloween we were undecided about what costumes to choose, but in the end we came up with something both funny and economical.

Today I tested to advance to brown belt in taekwondo. We’ve been doing it for almost eight months, and love it! Laura is currently a green belt, and will continue advancing once the baby is born.

Testing consists of each student demostrating the curriculum for their current belt to the Grandmaster, in order to qualify for advancement to the next belt. Here’s a video of me at testing:

This year was my first attempt at gardening. I have always had an interest in it, but never actually done it. I planted four roma and two celebrity tomato plants in custom-designed 6-gallon buckets. Continue reading »
